The Mingo Saloon & Lodge
A charming 20-room log cabin lodge with a restaurant and bar, is situated on US 219 along West Virginia's Seneca Skyway in the historic community of Mingo, nestled in the high mountains of Southern Randolph County. For those looking for places to stay near Snowshoe Mountain and Cass Scenic Railroad, this lodge offers a cozy retreat. Our friendly, welcoming staff will make you feel like family.

The Mingo Lodge is conveniently located near a variety of local attractions and outdoor activities in the exhilarating central Appalachians, often referred to as West Virginia's Big Mountain Country. This area is renowned for having the best skiing and snowboarding in the Mid-Atlantic and South, as well as exceptional mountain biking at Snowshoe Mountain and ski village. Nearby, you'll find excellent trout fishing, stunning scenic drives, motorcycle touring, caving, superb championship golf, and historic Civil War sites. Don't miss the antique mountain train tours in Cass and Durbin, where many remnants of early America continue to be a significant part of life today.
20 Rooms & Porches for Days
Each room is uniquely furnished and includes a private bath, offering plenty of space for relaxation. The Mingo Lodge is surrounded by 4,000 square feet of covered porches and decks, which are furnished with swings and deep Adirondack chairs, nestled along the Tygart River. Please note: there is no elevator; guests booking double rooms on the upstairs level should be able to use stairs. For those looking for pet-friendly options, we have eight first-floor rooms available, two of which are handicap accessible.
